A community is composed of group of people mostly sharing common beliefs, and collaborating with each other for the success of their ultimate goal. As a community, it is the role of the leader to ensure quality protection on each member. Moreover, the society is composed of families that help hand on hand to aid them through development. In fact, for better guidance, most states develop a program called \”Community Organizing Participatory Action Research\” (COPAR). This program aims to help the society to be productive while ensuring one\’s safety.

In order to encourage participation, the society must focus on physical and mental being of potential workers. This is the reason why trustworthy village guards should be assigned in their respective community. In our recent condition, crimes are very rampant. With this, how can we assure our safety? Obviously, we already have a concept, but allow this article to enhance our idea.

Tips to Enhance Security

1. Since most of the society and community groups undergo the program called COPAR, they know that it is better to choose at least 9 members of society that will serve as leaders. To better ensure safety, aside from village guards, leaders can aid the guards to patrol within the village.

2. If your community have gates on where guards perform their security check-ups, it is better to keep a record of all the names of people entering the area place. Moreover, when you arrive late at night, request village guards to escort you to outside your residence. This way, you won\’t be alone especially on dark places. Remember that intruders attack when you\’re alone.

3. If allowable, purchase electroshock weapons such as stun guns and taser. There may be times when guards won\’t be able to ensure your safety. These materials will serve as self-defense tools during emergency situations. Some types have a pen-like size that allows you to keep it in your pocket. However, when using this weapon, remember that you must be responsible enough to handle it properly.

4. Collaborate with other villages. There may be times when nearby communities find some suspicious individuals that can possibly hide in your village. As guards, ensure that you deal with the task accordingly. Do all your patrols and check those dark areas of the village. On some instances, drug-dealing could happen in these places. Bear in mind that drug use is considered as a predisposing factor for an individual to commit felonious acts.

5. Since the family is a vital part of community, it is advisable to encourage everyone to participate and do their part accordingly.

It\’s really hard to maintain safety for each member of the community. However, enough effort and collaboration with one another will aid to enhance security. Remember that a healthy community will aid your country to progress.
