When you join a multi level marketing (MLM) company, you have a distributor who will show you how to make your business successful. One of the greatest lies in the MLM business is how much you will make without any or very little effort. You certainly can make a good profit of network marketing, but that is assuming you do the work too. Most who try end up loosing any motivation they might have started out with, and eventually quit. Not knowing how close they already were to succeed. They just needed a better method to push them in the right direction.

The most common network marketing method recommended in MLM is to first to tackle your, what is commonly called to as the warm market. This is your friends and family.

When the method of tackling all your friends fails miserably (and you have de-friended all your friends), then your distributor will likely have you move along to the next approach. That move would be to recommend that you buy leads call that the company will sell to you. The problem is that these so called leads often when contacted, do not know what you are talking about (or how you got their number). Worse again, the same phone number probably been sold to many others. If you happen to be number twenty to call that person on that day, you are not doing your business any favours. Next you will be told to move on to simple cold calling. Listening to all these rejections will not do much for your confidence nor will it motivate you to continue on the trail to failure.

However, what your distributor probably fail to mention is that trying to recruit any one within an arms length will make you look desperate and is more likely to ruin your business. Doing what the network companies are telling you to do is probably not a good idea neither.

Ultimately when your home based business is not taking off as you expected, then you might be told that it is simply your own fault. You lack motivation. Little wonder after all the rejection you were just dealt. In spite of what you are being told, there is nothing wrong with you nor your motivation. You were motivated enough to start out on your own and try it. You might even have been motivated enough to continue your efforts, in spite of set backs, because you still believe that things can change.

What you are missing is proper marketing skills. Most network marketing companies tend to focus more on their products than on teaching you how to market and promote. It has been said that anything can be sold with great marketing and there is something to that statement. Even a bad product can be sold successfully with good marketing.

Attraction marketing is about promoting yourself, giving value to your prospects, and making you attracting customers rather than repelling them. This is done through becoming an expert in your chosen area. Befriend your family and friends again and have them coming to you asking what you how you made your MLM success. What if instead of paying for your leads, they are paying you to prospect them? The solution is to make the customer come to you, wanting to buy what you can provide. There is also a need to change your thinking. If you are struggling with your network marketing, but still want to make MLM success, then you need change your mindset. You have to change your approach to your business and you will achieve MLM success.
