Now on Television: Baur\’s New Commercial

Starting today Baur\’s new TV commercial will be seen on television in Germany. For the first time, individual textiles and shoes will be presented with their prices. At the same time, the design of the last TV commercial was adopted: a package is opened multiple times, each time revealing new content. Specifically, the package reveals a green and a white checkered blouse from the label Cheer starting at 17.99 Euro, furthermore a bolero shirt from the Vivance collection starting at 19.99 Euro and afterwards leather high-heeled sandals from the popular label Mexx for 69.99 Euro. These fashion recommendations are supplemented by the offer of an exclusive gift: Customers that place an order of at least 70 Euro on the website www.baur.de by 18 March 2012 will receive a free jewelry set from s.Oliver exclusively. The set includes two parts of accessoires – a bracelet and a necklace come along with a fresh and vernal look combining slight green tones and transparent elements.

This TV commercial also utilises the motto \”Give yourself a gift!\” It ends with a reference to the website www.baur.de and the well-known slogan \”Fashion. Shoes. Great shopping.\” For the first time the customer sees the seal from the consumer protection society that was awarded in Fall 2011. The commercial shall attract customers for the spring time to dress freshly and in a colourful way.Baur was included in comprehensive, covert tests – which resulted in an overall grade of \”good\” which means actually the grade 2.2 – and accordingly landed third place amongst all tested German online shops for fashion, clothes and shoes.

\”For now, this new commercial will be played on numerous private TV channels in the next three weeks. The focus is on the private German TV channels RTL and Sat.1,\” explains Marc Opelt, the chairman of the Baur Group executive board. He also adds, \”It will primarily be shown between 17:00 and 23:00 o\’clock, but we also booked advertising slots at other times of the day. It can also be found on Baur\’s YouTube channel.\” With the aid of the dual positioning Baur hopes that there will be a high rate of attention for the advertising spot when shown at this time of day.
