Browning has been making top notch guns for years and now they are in the fishing tackle market as well. Currently one of the best rod and reel combos on the market is the Midas low profile Baitcast reel and the Hi Power rod. The Midas Baitcast reel is made with a one-piece aluminum frame, double-anodized aluminum V-shaped spool with aluminum re-curve handle and drag star. The handy five point drag star is close to the handle so you can adjust the drag with your thumb as you wind. The Midas uses nine ball bearings and one roller bearing for instant anti-reverse. The nine ball bearings are made of stainless steel for strength and durability. The drag system is made of carbon-Teflon and stainless steel so it will apply lots of smooth even pressure.
