What You Need to Know About Dubai Visit Visa

Are you thinking about getting a Dubai visit visa so you can drop by Dubai for your vacation? If you are, that is actually not a surprising decision. The short term visa can permit the tourist stay in UAE for 30 days while the long term visa can allow 90 days of stay, but with no further extensions permissible according to the UAE visa rules.

Tourist visas are a type of Dubai visit visa only for a certain group of individuals that come from a defined list of countries, like East and West Europe, Cuba, Mexico, Albania, Russia, Ukraine, Cyprus, Singapore, Malta, Hellenic Republic, Belize, Kingston, Bulgaria and China just to name a few. This is according to UAE visa rules.

Transit visas only allow a person to stay in UAE for 96 hours. This is usually reserved for people who just have a connecting flight to another country from UAE with a minimum of 8 hours stay. This is usually sponsored by the airlines of the tourist who has the connecting flight. Some countries, like Iraq and Afghanistan as an example, are not eligible for the 96-hour visa.

Multiple entry visas are visas that allow you to enter and exit UAE for a period of 6 months from the issue date of the visa, then allowing you to stay for 30 days per entry. This is usually used by business visitors and it can only be obtained in UAE after you got an initial visit visa.

If you are planning to get yourself a short term or a long term visit visa, here are the requirements.

1. Application form, typed that can be obtained from the UAE consulate.

2. Clear photocopy of passport for both sponsor and tourist/ family member.

3. Marriage contract for sponsoring spouse. It needs to be attested by the UAE Embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

4. Birth certificates. These also need to be attested by the UAE Embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

7. For family members whose last name cannot prove the familial relationship, relationship proof from the UAE Embassy.

Compile all these documents and proceed to the DNRD so you can get a Dubai visit visa.
