At this point you can remove the old fabric and put new fabric on if you want to. You will then have to screw flush mount pieces to the headboard and attach it to the wall.

3. You can also use shutters from your windows as a headboard. You need to first measure the width of the top of your bed. The shutters that you use should be of equal or larger width that the bed. Once you have the shutters you can either attach them to each other or mount them onto the wall.
