Anti-Chick Magnet Rides

Many posts and articles are composed about the types of vehicles that attract women. \”Babe magnet\” material is not hard to come by. Information about those cool, low convertibles and luxury models is easy to find. However, very few pieces are dedicated to those cars and trucks that tend to repel women. Some vehicles just do not put forth that manly aura that draws women. Many vehicles, in fact, will send many women running in the opposite direction. This post is dedicated to the anti-babe magnet rides that may be found on the highways.

1) Hearse-Like Vehicles like the Ford Flex, the PT Cruiser and the Chevrolet HHR

The hearse-like body style does nothing at all to attract the attention of women. In fact, these cars tend to be in many women\’s top 10 list of most unattractive cars. Most women are just not into being reminded of the Grim Reaper, apparently. The hearse-like body style receives two thumbs down for sex appeal.

2) The Dodge Viper

In an informal survey of women, the Dodge Viper got a thumbs-down for being, well, too masculine? Many women viewed the Dodge Viper as just being too \”over the top.\” Who knew? But the next time you spot a Dodge Viper on the road, take a look to see if there is a woman driving the car. Most likely not, and there\’s most likely no women riding as passengers, either.

3) The Minivan

The minivan is perhaps the most un-sexy vehicle on the road today. The minivan screams \”Your youth is gone! Welcome to the suburbs.\” For men attempting to attract women, the minivan simply is not going to do the trick. However, the minivan is great for transporting your child\’s soccer team or taking the gang to dance class. Convenient for families, but definitely an anti-chick magnet.

4) Monster-truck Style Modified Vehicles

No woman wants to be seen in a modified monster truck. In fact, these vehicles look completely out of place in average urban traffic. The Monster-style modified truck is a definite chick repellent.

5) The Volkswagen 2011 New Beetle

This is a chick car to the \”Nth\” degree! In fact, it is too feminine for most women. With a little bud vase built into the dashboard and other features that make this car just too girlie to attract women. The 2012 Beetle has been a bit more \”masculinized\” in its design.

6) Vintage, American-Made Muscle Cars

Cars such as the late 60s to early 70s Chevy Camaro or Dodge Challenger are simply not the chick magnets that many guys believe them to be. These vintage vehicles may garner a lot of attention at road races and car auctions, but to the average female, they are not fun to drive and wreak of burnt rubber, anti-freeze and other random engine smells. These cars tend to be big, loud anti-chick magnets as a result.

7) The Off-Road Jeep Wrangler

Not all Jeep Wranglers are chick repellent. Take a Jeep Wrangler. Add over-sized wheels and knobby tires, heavy duty suspension, and then mount a towing winch to the bumper – and you have 100% chick repellent. Too masculine, too dirty and not welcoming to any female. The off-road Wrangler may be great for traversing the mountain trails, but all women will see is something muddy, manly and not fun.

8) Cars Named Questionable Names

The name of the Ford Probe, to a man, may conjure up thoughts of power, space travel and exploring brave, new worlds. For women, however, the word \”probe\” simply conjures up memories of past visits to the gynecologists office.

The name Mercury Cougar may, at one time, have been an acceptable moniker. However, few women who date younger men would be caught dead behind the wheel of a vehicle named a \”Cougar.\”

Not much of an explanation is needed for the Dodge LaFemme. Simply not a chick magnet by any stretch.

9) Buicks

Though many models of Buick are respectable vehicles, most Buicks are not considered chick cars. Perhaps, this is because the Buick is considered a \”grandpa\” car. Though this assessment of the Buick brand is not a fair one, Buicks tend to be chick repellents.

10) The Lincoln Navigator

Though many luxury SUVs hold various positions as chick magnet vehicles, the Lincoln Navigator is not one of them. Could it be that the grill looks like a sewer grate? Or is it just because there is really nothing sexy about this luxury SUV. In either case, the Lincoln Navigator tends to act as chick repellent.

11) The Hummer H2

This vehicle looks like army transportation, for one thing. With a very un-feminine boxy body style, and garnering as much popularity as a fur coat in LA, not to mention the name…. This vehicle tends to be very unappealing to the younger female demographic.

12) A Motorhome

Most females do not long for a ride in a motorhome. The motorhome, as appealing as it may seem to a man, is usually chick repellent, that is, unless your chick loves the RV lifestyle. Most younger women are not \”wowed\” by the thought of traveling in a home on wheels.

For those men who purchase vehicles in hopes of attracting some female attention, this list was compiled based on feedback from several twenty-something and thirty-ish women. Use it however you see fit. We just believe that a list of un-sexy vehicles was long overdue.
