Z-listers, ex-DJ\’s, Journalists and 80\’s pop stars: The Wizard\’s missus is in Channel 5 heaven.

The Wizard, however, has taken one good look into the crystal ball and escaped with his sanity intact. When the mist cleared, a larger-than-life front-runner revealed herself as the best bet.

Martin Kemp is a nice-enough bloke, full of life experience and fake tan. Julian Clary is quite a different proposition: his reputation for being a bit of a drama queen makes his current quote of 7/2 look decidedly skinny.

Coleen Nolan is interesting at 13/2 with Bet 365, but it simply has to be CHERYL FERGUSON that tests the Wizard\’s 100% reality TV strike-rate to the maximum. Coleen is a recognizable face for sure, a \’loose woman\’ who flogs crappy frozen food and even crappier Christmas hampers. As a Nolan sister she was always the quiet one who smiled in the background – very likeable and very backable if you fancy a flutter should you wish to take the \’recognition=votes\’ angle.

But Cheryl is the one for me. derided in the press, harshly in my opinion, she played the character of Heather Trott with conviction, and deserved a lot more plaudits than she actually received for what was a very difficult role to pull off. But pull it off she did, and I for one wish the girl all the luck in the world, especially having to spend weeks locked up with this lot of preening jackals.

A thoroughly nice girl, now attempting to leave Heather Trott behind, the ex-EastEnder could well prove to be a revelation in the house, and her unassuming nature should appeal to the widest voting demographic possible.
