Being psychic myself I have spent a great deal of time around other intuitive people, both beginners and veterans. The sum result of this is I have listened to and received many readings myself. Over time I have made what almost amounts to a check list of what to do to get the very best from a reading.

The first thing that one needs to do is to choose your reader very carefully. You do not want to receive what I call a fished reading. This is a reading where the psychic asks continual questions which results in you giving them more information than you realise. Read the reports about other readings and see what the receiver of the reading has to say. Was the reading accurate and professional? If the reader asks for confirmation on a particular point they make, answer with a yes, no or maybe, nothing more.

While they might well ask for confirmation at the beginning of a reading this is more for confirmation that they are actually connecting to you than for any other reason. Make sure you know what kind of reading you want before choosing a psychic. Do you want a message from a past loved one? If so choose a medium. Do you want to know something about a present or future situation? Here you can choose an intuitive. While not all intuitives are mediums, all mediums do have psychic abilities. Remember these people are also human and they do make mistakes.

No psychic is ever 100% accurate however hard they try to be. If something they tell you does not ring true to you in your present situation, make a note of it and put it on one side. It is a good idea to record all the information if you can, or make copious notes during the reading. Remember that over time your brain can distort and change words to suit you, so having a written record of the actual words used is sensible.

If you are asked to ask a question make sure you formulate it very carefully so that you do not give information which will affect the answer you get. In other words do not say things like “Does George really love me” This is what I call a leading question. You have indicated an interest in a male named George. This means that if the reader has received information from the other side indicating that the interest was in a male named George you have just made it impossible for them to pass that information on to you as you both provided the name and the sex to the reader.
