In such styles of poker, the cards are doled out to players all faced down. There are typically five cards that are given. The cards dealt to every player are known only to each of them ’til there’s a ‘face-off’ in the end.

As soon as the betting is over and the round is finished, the players go on to the drawing phase. Here, each player is allowed to exchange his card for a shot at getting better ones from the 52-card deck.
