Salvage Your Failing Resolutions – 3 Ways To Brand Yourself In 2012!

Can you believe the first 3 months of 2012 are over? Have you made any progress with your resolutions and/or goals that you made for yourself in January? If you\’re like most people, you probably haven\’t done as much as you\’d like… but there is hope!

So what do you do the rest of the year? The best way is to BRAND YOURSELF!

When you brand yourself you will never be seen as a ‘competitive bid.’ When you brand yourself your potential customers will view you as an authority figure, a trusted adviser and an industry expert. Don\’t you think this might be worth taking a closer look at?

Branding yourself isn\’t really difficult. Actually, there are thousands of different ways you can go about it. In fact, there are so many things to choose from that most people do nothing at all! This may be why many people never do anything. They have so many options to choose from that they spend all of their time analyzing and none of their time taking action!

Too many options leads to confusion. Confusion leads to not taking action (your roof sales are affected when you confuse the customer as well). Keep this in mind when you are trying to upsell a customer!

It’s time to shorten the list! I present to you – 3 ways you can brand yourself starting now:

1. Facebook Fan Page.

Think Facebook is all fun and games? WRONG! You can create a Business Facebook Page for your business. It\’s a great way to brand yourself. Fan Pages are quick to set up and allow you establish your brand on a Social platform. In minutes your message can be sent to millions of potential customers.

COST: Free (Although there are some paid advertising options you may want to use to give your Fan Page a little boost).

2. Start Blogging.

You can create a blog that targets your industry. Blogging allows you to establish yourself as an industry expert – assuming you write about quality stuff. Be sure to direct your blog readers back to your Facebook Business Page for an increased web presence.

COST: Free (but for a small investment you can buy a domain name and host your blog on your own \”.com\” website).

3. Get video testimonials from your best customers.

The best salesperson in your company is a well-crafted customer testimonial. The problem is that the way we receive information has changed. The traditional reference letter has become less of a factor in the decision process. Things are more personal now. Instead of a letter, video record your customer’s references. Put them on your blog and/or Business Facebook for instant credibility. Burn your video testimonials onto a CD and drop them off when you are coldcalling.

COST: Free to get started – Minimal to \”WOW\”

The challenge has been issued! Do you accept? Will you find the time this year or will you waste the remaining 9 months?
