If the break up wasn’t that long ago then the feelings he has for you will still be fresh in his mind and whenever he sees you, especially if you are telling him you still like him, then they will become incredibly hard for him to suppress. Therefore in the end he will have to give into his feelings and admit that he wants you back too.
