You Can Lose Weight And It’s Easier Than You Think And A Lot Less Sacrifice And Pain Than You Would Think (and A Lot Cheaper Than You Think)
Weight Loss is easier than you think and a lot less sacrifice and pain than you would think (and a lot cheaper than you think).
Frankly, most diets and food regimes are useless and some are downright junk and it’s probably true to say a large section of the diet industry simply does not deliver what they promise. There are a whole swag of people who from time to time try and lose weight with a diet and foods that, at the time, convinces it has a chance of working. I’m convinced most dieters actually know the latest diet may not work, but they have to try something: the new year has come along or it’s coming up to summer.
I look at some of the diet programs on TV (Biggest loser etc.) and almost despair: they have supposedly the best diet experts, the best gym experts, the best physiology experts and the best psychology experts.
But then, they get some poor obese member of the public that is desperate to lose weight, so desperate, they are willing to humiliate themselves on national TV, and the trainers smash them with aerobic exercises (running, jumping etc.) every day and every week. It’s just wrong and so unnecessary: I’m surprise some of the contestants haven’t had a major medical problem, due to the exercise regime.
You may be surprised to learn, that you can lose weight by not smashing yourself with aerobic exercise: you can actually be losing weight sat on your couch watching TV. Does that sound crazy: it should sound crazy because there’s a massive diet industry out there which is partly a testimony as to how difficult it must be to lose weight.
The only reason you should do aerobic exercise is so that, when you do lose weight, you don’t have those ugly skin folds which would require plastic surgery to fix. Obese, people who have lap band surgery (expensive) tend to lose massive amounts of weight which leaves their belly with massive ugly skin folds ( because their skin has not been elastic enough to relax back to the smaller belly size).
So the only reason on a weight loss program to do aerobic exercises, is so that the exercise can help the stretched skin relax back to your smaller size: if you don’t do some aerobic exercise i.e. walking, you may end up with the ugly skin folds and require expensive plastic surgery.
Quite simply, the best way to lose weight is to do weights. The energy required to rebuild and repair muscles is massive: so all you do is have a weight program and try and control your food intake (you don’t even have to be that good at the food control, just have a reasonable common sense approach). A couple days after your weight session, you could be sat on the couch watching TV burning massive amounts of energy as your muscles build and repair.
Will I end up looking like a body builder? No, you would have to do a crazy weight program every day and probably take steroids for that to happen. But the chances are you would look buffed and toned.
