Private Golf Classes Are Not Always Like Your Dad\’s Golf Lessons

Many players look to improve their game through private golf lessons every year. Some players struggle to take this type of golf instruction because they are intimidated by exposing themselves and their faults in front of a professional. Others players simply do not have the time and/or the money to get this type of golf instruction. However, the internet is minimizing many of these fears listed and is allowing access to great golf tips and advice from instructors that many players would never have the opportunity to go and meet.

In Person Private Golf Lessons

This is of course the traditional way to take a golf lesson. You meet the professional typically on the driving range and work on the challenges that you may have in your full swing. As opposed to being in a group setting, the learning will take place at your pace. This simply means that the quicker that you grab concepts and or practice to improve upon concepts covered you and your professional can move to the next topic or challenge. You will be able to ask any question at any time that may be confusing you which you may or may not be in a group or clinic setting.

Online Private Golf Lessons

By using the technology available today, you can have access to many different instructors and distance is no longer a challenge. Mobile golf lessons can be taken privately online in many forms. Some consider finding a teacher that you like and reading articles and watching their videos would constitute taking private lessons. That is not necessarily my definition. Others will find access to message boards or chat rooms and interact with golf professionals. Another form would come in the look of a golf webinar. The golf webinar can be tailored to a specific topic such as putting, driving or shirt game. In addition, it can be targeted at certain groups such as ladies golf webinar or a junior golf webinar. A big advantage to webinars is that typically you can go back and watch them on your own time so they are very convenient.

Skype Private Golf Lessons

As we have already talked about, technology is changing how many people are learning the game of golf. Many golf instructors are using Skype to “meet” with their students. Although they still have to schedule a time to meet, this technology allows the coach and the player to be anywhere as long as they have an internet connection.

Do not let the fear of taking traditional golf instruction get in the way of you learning how to play golf. By using technology, you can have access to teachers no matter where either of you are. This is much more convenient as everyone’s schedule is getting busier and busier. In addition, depending on which form of online golf instruction that you use, the technology takes away the awkwardness of being right in front of a professional. Although they are only there to help you, it can still be an intimidation experience.
