Having your own blog is a great way for generating traffic and pretty essential for any internet marketer. You can link directly to your sites or the sites that you will be promoting.

This can be done from your articles that you have written and posted on your blog. You will be able to mention your products, services and affiliate links in your blog posts.

A good blog can build a community around you and the search engines just love them. Your posts can get indexed pretty quickly and you can get lots of traffic this way.

Article Marketing:

Maybe article marketing is not as popular as it used to be, but I am sure that it is still at the top of the list of most marketers advertising source for generating targeted traffic.

Here is a short list of some of the ways that you can promote or submit your article:

* Submit your articles to popular websites and blogs in your niche.

* Submit your articles/websites to Web 2.0 sites, such as, Squidoo.

* Search and find high ranking sites and promote to them.

* Once you have posted an article, get that link and submit to social bookmarking sites.

* Submit your link straight to Twitter and Facebook.

In doing all these submissions, you will be able to rank higher in the Google search engines.

Break your article down into 3 or 4 individual ones:

Say that you have an article that is on multiple topics in a given category, you can break it down into 3 or 4 individual ones. Write them so that they are in order, as you can label them in \’parts\’. i.e. Part 1

-Part 2 – Part 3

As you post, Part 1, have a link to go to Part 2, etc. If you have Part 2 on your blog, then they will be able to go there to view the next one. Or, you can have the reader to fill out your capture page to be able to go to the next article. Then, in that article you can have a link to send them to your sales page.

Press Releases:

In this process, you can create lots of traffic and gain many backlinks to your website. Be sure to find the right keyword or keywords and make it sound very informative to the reader.

Here are some benefits of having your press release on the first page of Google:

* A journalist could help you promoting and spreading the word.

* All the other search engines could index your release.

* Google gets syndicated with a lot of websites, this will give you a great potential for even more backlinks and traffic.

Remember to make your press release newsworthy and not just an advertising ploy. Make the opening paragraph to grab the readers attention. This way they will be interested in reading the whole story.

Keep your press release to one main keyword, which you will have in the main title. Also, be sure, and have your keyword in the first and last paragraph for generating that targeted traffic.

One last point would be to have a great call-to-action at the end.
