Ladies, this world is full of men out there looking for a girlfriend. There has never been an easier time than now to find a boyfriend for you to share your time, thoughts and emotions with. But to be treated with respect is to respect yourself as well as others, and accept that men and women may think differently on certain subjects. Just as a woman wants a man who is confident, a man wants a woman who is confident also. A woman who respects herself, loves life, and her friends and family. If you have no confidence in yourself, and your self-esteem is very low, men can sense that right away. Unfortunately most men aren’t programmed to show the right kind of respect to a woman who has no confidence, just as most women don’t show a lot of respect to men who have no confidence as well.

Imagine yourself walking into a room with a lot of men around, as you act shy and you’re unable to make eye contact with the men in the room. Unless you look like a supermodel it may be difficult for the men in the room to walk up to you and start a conversation. Now imagine yourself dressed nice and walking into a room with lots of men around, as you portray yourself with confidence and a smile on your face. The men won’t be able to take their eyes off you. Which scenario do you like best?

Men want women who are independent. The quality guy you are looking for doesn’t want a woman who depends on him for everything. He wants someone who is self-sufficient, isn’t constantly needy, and who has her own life. These days men are looking for someone who has her own job. Someone that can take care of herself when things get tough.

Now even though men want an independent woman, there are certain things that men want to feel needed for. They still want to be the strong man who can help their lady lift that heavy object. Or that intelligent, knowledgeable man who can fix anything. So while you should be independent and self-sufficient, at the same time let him feel like a man, even if you’re capable of lifting that heavy object with one hand.

Be available, but not to available. You can play hard to get. Most men these days don’t desire someone who is easily available. They like a challenge, which means you will need to talk to them, but also keep them at a distance. Again, you can’t appear needy or desperate. Those actions will turn a man off and he will run away faster than a race horse.

Keep him wondering, but at the same time send out the right signals. Make him come to you. And when he does finally ask you out, be nice and friendly to him. If you like him, accept his invitation. Don’t shoot him down thinking that he’ll come back and want you even more. If you keep him waiting too long he may move on. You don’t want to overdo it with the playing hard to get. So say yes to him with confidence, and make sure he has your number.

Men want a woman with a strong personality. Do you want a man who is not easy to talk to? Probably not. Just as men don’t want someone who doesn’t know how to carry on a conversation. Many women have it programmed in their brains that men are supposed to be the ones who carry on the conversation, and have to keep the lady entertained. But it really goes both ways. If you’re not easy to talk to, there’s a good possibility he won’t be asking you on a second date. So when you’re out on a date, relax, have fun and don’t be afraid to ask him questions about himself. Be talkative and keep the conversations going. It’s up to you to make a good impression so that he keeps coming back.
