The Secret of Keeping Fit With Orinda Boot Camps

Have you ever seen someone that looks as if they visit the gym every other day but have never exercised? How about that size 3 friend of yours that can eat a half a pizza and never gain a pound? Outside of being blessed with a great metabolism and good genes, there may be some secrets that you are not aware of, for example, some Orinda boot camps. Here are some ideas that can easily go unnoticed in a person\’s daily routine but can make a big difference in keeping off the fat from several Orinda boot camps.

Get up and Move!

Did you know that the more muscle you have, the faster your body sheds fat? You can tell the difference between someone that has starved themselves skinny as opposed to a body that has retained muscle. If you are like most people with a few extra pounds, just the thought of hiking, jogging or cycling for two hours can drive you to the couch for a nap. But recent study groups have found an amazing discovery.

The University of New South Wales took 45 women that were considered overweight and divided into two groups. Over a 15-week period, one group performed vigorous cycling for forty minutes at a time. The second group peddled hard for twenty minutes at a time. At the end of the survey, the group that had spent half the time cycling, had lost three times more body fat than the group that gave it their all.

Balance your Meals

Who hasn\’t tried this and found the effects to be little to none? Balancing does not mean to have meat, bread and potatoes three times a day. Replace the potatoes with fresh fruit and vegetables, but no canned stuff. Start out with hefty portions, like you are accustomed. Maybe a cup of grapes, a big slice of melon, fresh steamed green beans and a thick juicy hamburger can really get your mouth watering. The trick is to begin eating the grapes, melon and green beans first. When about halfway through your fruits and veggies, take a big bite out of that greasy beef. For some strange reason, you won\’t enjoy the taste as much. After a couple of bites and feeling it lay like a brick in your stomach, you\’ll be happy to return to your fresh foods. And guess what? It was your own choice to put down the hamburger, not some diet program that told you how to eat.

Low Metabolism is a Lie

If you are one of those individuals that blame your fat to a low metabolism, you have been reading too many diet ads. According to the research department of the Center for Human Nutrition in Denver, Colorado, metabolism is controlled solely by calorie intake and exercise. The better your body composition, the lower your RMR, or resting metabolic rate. There will always be the exceptions of heredity and hormones but for the most part, metabolism moves up or down according to our life styles. By changing your calorie intake by 500 calories a day, your RMR will adjust and slow, causing your appetite to decrease, thus losing weight.

In the end, keeping fit is the result of a balanced diet and keeping active, according to many Orinda boot camps. How you get there, however, does not have to be painful or uncomfortable. By changing just a few routine activities and keeping only fresh foods on hand, you will wonder why no one told you how easy it could be to look and feel great after joining some Orinda boot camps.
