Marine Life is Decreasing Rapidly
Marine life is decreasing rapidly all around the globe. It doesn’t matter where you look the sea animal and fish populations is dropping. Some of this is due to the climate and some to pollution. Some is due to overfishing and stripping the oceans of resources. When the populations begin to disappear, there will be little if anything that can be done to get them back. Animals are going extinct too rapidly and once extinct they are gone for good. People need to act now and they need to act all around the world if marine life is to stand a chance of surviving. There are too many conditions that are presently out of our control. We need to take control of the problems we can address now.
Overfishing Is Killing Fish and Marine Animals
Overfishing is happening all over the globe. This is something that we can control. There is no need to fish a species into extinction or even onto the endangered list. It has been proved that by controlling how much fish are caught can turn the fish populations around and they can start to reproduce and grow strong again. When the fish are gone other marine lives will be at stake. Animals like whales, dolphins and seals rely on fish to live. Many marine birds need fish to survive. We owe it to nature to take care of her.
Pollution must be Stopped before More Species Are Lost
Pollution is responsible for the destruction of much of the ocean and the animals that make their homes there. Between waste that finds its way into the water and oil from oil spills the ocean is in desperate condition right now. Cleanup is possible and the governments around the world should be taking the task in hand. We need to be less reliant on oil so there is no longer a need for it. This can stop a lot of the pollution. Too many animal and fish lives are being cut short because of pollution. Animals cannot survive in contaminated waters. You wouldn’t be able to survive either.
What You Should Do
Stop the killing of animals that live in the sea. Many fishermen are targeting specific species and causing a huge decline in species. In some countries many sea animals are hunted nearly to extinction. With all the other problems facing the animals they don’t need for this to continue. You can urge your government to take action against the indiscriminate hunting of animals such as seals and whales. There are still countries that allow these magnificent creatures to be hunted even though they are endangered. They don’t seem to care about what these animals could offer future generations. Learning of animals in a book is not the way it should be done. Children deserve to learn by watching animals in action. Petition governments to get them to act for our children. Boycott the countries that are allowing hunting and killing by refusing to buy products that are produced by these countries. It isn’t too late for most animals but it will be if something isn’t done now.
