5 Words to Soothe Financial Stress

“Debt Will Send Western World into Financial Chaos.” Have you noticed how a few words in a headline can escalate your financial fear and collapse your best intentions to get ahead? With the headlines these days, stress, worry, and fear about finances affect us all. In this article, we’ll explore a simple phrase you can use to soothe and relieve financial stress.

Now it’s important to note that stress has as much to do with how you’re looking at things as it does with what is happening. In your financial life, you’ll feel stress if you think two things:

1. What I have to offer isn’t wanted.

2. There aren’t enough opportunities to exchange what I have for what I need.

While conditions in the economy do affect those two things, your mindset about your prospects will determine if that is true for you or not. Holding a few positive words in your mind can make all the difference. A few well-chosen words can soothe your stress and get you inspired to discover and take advantage of the right opportunities.

If you’ve ever paid attention to the stream of your thoughts, you’ve probably noticed an astonishing number of words that come uninvited into your brain. If these words are emotionally-charged, they can have quite an effect on your feelings and beliefs about a situation. If these words end up coming out of your mouth, they can have quite an impact on how you and those around you think, feel, and act.

This point has become even more poignant as we’ve come to understand The Law of Attraction, which tells us that the thoughts, feelings, and intentions we hold shape every single experience that we have-and even the circumstances we receive. Words embody states of consciousness and transmit them to ourselves, others, and the world around us. Therefore, monitoring and intentionally using your words is a powerful way to shape your consciousness, impact your reality, and create the experiences you truly desire.

There’s no area of our lives where this is truer right now than in our finances. These days you’re a rare individual if you don’t feel some level of financial stress. Let’s look at how a few carefully chosen words can help soothe that stress, so you can get ahead.

You may be familiar with the practice of stating affirmations of specific positive things you want and imagining them as present realities. You may have tried this. Some people swear by it, while others have been repeatedly frustrated when the realities they describe and imagine just don’t seem to show up in real life. Taking time to be specific about the things you want and imagine having them right now is supposed to attract them to you, but many times it just ends up creating deeper disappointment.

The practice I’d like to suggest is related but different. Rather than making a statement about specific circumstances and results you would like to have, I suggest that you make a general positive declaration that shifts your feeling state, your state of consciousness. For instance, from stress, worry, and fear to ease, trust, and confidence-or whatever feeling state you’d prefer. For example, if you are stressed, worried, and afraid that there aren’t any jobs and that you’ll soon be broke and unable to pay your bills and provide for your family, design a general positive declaration that counters that, such as “Life provides everything we need.”

As you repeat that to yourself and begin to feel what that is like, you shift your feeling state. You counter your fear. You not only feel better, but you are more optimistic and empowered to see and pursue the better possibilities that are out there for you. In the mindset created by that general positive declaration, you are 1000% more likely to be inspired to positive action and positive results.

General positive declarations shift your consciousness. They create neural pathways associated with the experiences you desire and prepare your body and brain to be receptive to similar experiences in real life. They prime you to interpret events in a positive way and align you with what you want. They get you ready for the real thing by being in the feeling state associated with it.

Saying to yourself “Life provides everything we need” will start a “snowball effect” that reverberates throughout your life to line things up in better and better ways. You are then much more likely to notice opportunities, cultivate relationships, and take effective actions to move you in that direction. When you are firmly established in the positive consciousness created by that declaration, you’re 1000% more likely to receive everything you need.

Words are powerful, so choose yours carefully. Use them to support you in living from a state of consciousness that feels like what you truly desire. To learn more about how to raise your vibration to relieve stress and create the results you want, check out the Resource Box below.
