I regard myself as somewhat of an expert when it comes making costly mistakes made by Newbies with regards to trying to make an income online, because; Firstly, I’m a Newbie and Secondly, I’ve made all the mistakes!

I’m not going to go into all of them right now, but rather let you know what I consider to be biggest mistake I’ve made and how you can avoid it. The Big Mistake

When I first began searching for information about how to create an online income back in May 2012, I was amazed at the amount of resources and information available to me.

I began signing up to various schemes and systems to make money online. Some were one off purchases and some were monthly subscriptions that were deducted from my credit card. I had money going out everywhere; it didn’t worry me at the time as I put it all down to an essential investment if I were going to succeed at creating an online income. I was also signing up to various third party add-ons that seemed essential to my online toolkit at the time.

Here’s what I found! Many of the programs I purchased merely grazed over the fundamentals of creating an online income. Very few actually got down to the nitty gritty of exactly how to do it. I believe it’s because a lot of these so-called Gurus haven’t actually walked their talk, a lot of it is just re-hashed garbage.

There are many ‘snake oil merchants’ out there all wanting to provide you with the ‘Magic Formula’ on how to make mega dollars online. You have to think to yourself though, that if their methods are so great, why aren’t they out there doing it themselves!

I was like a dog in the backyard that had been thrown a dozen bones all at once, running around from once tasty bone to the next and not knowing where to begin. Each bone had the promise of something exciting but alas, it was not to be!

What frustrated me most was not just the money I had wasted, but also the six months of time wasted. I tell you, I was very disenchanted about the whole prospect about creating an online income. I began to believe that it was never going to happen and that it was just a pipe dream.

In the last six weeks I have finally found a pathway to what I want to achieve, and the purpose of this short article is to not only make you aware of the mistake (s) I made but also help you to avoid these costly disappointments and immense time wasters.

Here’s What I Should Have Done In The Very Beginning!

As I previously stated at the beginning of this article, there is an abundance of people willing to sell you their knowledge on how to create an online income.

What I believe you need to do is to search for those internet marketers, who have online programs/courses that will lead you step by step through the very basics of starting to create an online presence that can provide you with a certain level of income. You need to seek a systemised approach to learning the fundamentals of online marketing without all the hype and promises making mega bucks in just a few short weeks.

You can try searching on Google for these programs, but you’ll become overwhelmed by the tens of thousands of people claiming to be something they’re not. The best place I have found, is a website called Warrior Forum, It is said to be the number 1 internet marketing forum. On this site you will discover many Internet Marketers who have either a product or program that can help you to begin creating your online business. BUT, beware there are still some ‘snake oil merchants’ in there, so you need to be wary of them and their so-called secret(s) to creating an online fortune.

What I did is to find a few people who were offering courses or programs on the Warrior Forum and began researching these people and their programs on Google and other various forums online to see what kind of response/feedback other people were saying, who had already bought these programs.

You are best to spend some quality time seeking out what others have to say and deduce from what you read as to whether your money and time would be a wise investment before you commit to a purchase.

This is exactly how I found my current mentor and I have now achieved more in four weeks than I had in the previous six months.
