Grand Canyon Helicopters Are Flying During the July 4th Holiday
Well, it’s almost here – the day most Americans wait for eagerly – the July 4th holiday! If you’re considering a trip to Grand Canyon National Park for Independence Day, you’d better book your tour right away. July 4th is one of the Park’s most popular times, and tours on Grand Canyon helicopters traditionally sell out fast.
Chopper tours fly out of Tusayan, AZ (where Grand Canyon National Park Airport is located) and Las Vegas, NV. Tusayan flights do the South Rim, while Vegas tours head for Grand Canyon West.
South Rim Tours
At the South Rim, flights on Grand Canyon helicopters come in two versions: a 30-minute rim-to-rim tour (South to North and back, including a flight through dramatic Dragoon Corridor); and a more extensive tour that gives you 50 minutes of airtime.
