A Veterinarian Career is Never Boring: My Typical Day
Hi my name is Dolly and I’m a veterinarian. I work in a dog and cat clinic. I usually diagnose and perform surgery on dogs and cats but some other Levitra Professional animals as well. I had a unique experience one day when a girl carrying a basket covered with a Belgian lace blanket came knocking at my door.
“Doctor, doctor, please open up and hurry. Pleaaaassseeee. My pet is in grave danger.” She cried.
I opened the doctor and saw a teenager who seems to have trouble carrying her basket. It is some big dog I thought. I looked at her panic stricken face and my heart fell. “It’s OK honey. Please bring your pet right in. We will take a good look at her and we will make sure she will be alright, OK?” I said as I patted her shoulder.
The girl placed the basket on the table with all her might and I uncovered the blanket. My mouth almost dropped open when I saw her pet. It was no reptile or amphibian but it was a little strange for a girl living in a big city having a grown pet goat with a mint green ribbon around her neck. It was my first time to diagnose a goat but I wanted to appease her so I tried to look as confident as I can. “What seems to be the problem?” I asked.
The girl started to wail, “It’s my entire fault really. You see, I love stickers and I was decorating my room with loads of stickers and I fell asleep and forgot to clean up my mess and that is when Polly Pocket ate the rest of the stickers up.” She sobbed. “And then, when I woke up Polly Pocket was crying like as if she is in pain and her stomach was just so hard and she was crying and crying and then now she can’t even stand up. She is still breathing though. I looked you up in the phone book and you were the nearest animal hospital in my neighborhood.” Then the goat looked up at me earnestly like as if she is really expecting I can cure her.
“Here’s what we will do, first I have got to give Polly Pocket an x-ray and then let’s see what we can do, OK?”
“Yes, please. I will pay no matter how much it costs.”
I nodded my head. Rich teenagers are not uncommon to this area after all this is Beverly Hills. Nevertheless I am obliged to take care of this special pet. After the x-ray, I found out that her pet goat, Polly Pocket, had severe indigestion. Her stomach had some solid masses inside it (the stickers perhaps?).
“What’s your name?” I asked her.
“Gigi.” She replied.
“Gigi, Viagra Professional where the stickers plastic coated?” I asked
“Yes and all the works. Some are metallic and some are even glow in the dark some are vinyl, too.”
I nodded my head and showed her the x-ray. “I’m afraid your goat has indigestion,” I paused. Listen, I will give her some medicine for that and I will have to retain her here for observation. If her condition does not alleviate then I’m afraid I must operate.”
“Doctor, do whatever you must to save her. She means a lot to me.” She said and I nodded dutifully.
It is amazing how some people value their pets. It makes me feel more inspired to do my job well.
