Places to Visit in Utah

The state of Utah is known for having some of the “best snow on earth,” but what else is there to do in this state? It is true, during the winter the resorts are a great place to relax or hit the slopes.

Even if you have never skied or snowboarded before, you could always take a lesson and give it a try. With 13 different ski resorts, you are sure to find one to enjoy.

You will also be able to enjoy the incredible mountain views. One popular hot spot for skiing is Park City.

This city has multiple ski resorts and a fun downtown with plenty of unique shops and restaurants. Also in Park City is the Olympic Park where guests can learn more about the 2002 Winter Olympics or even take a bobsled ride.

If winter sports are not your thing, maybe you would prefer to visit Utah during the summer. One great thing to do in Utah during the summer is visit one of the many National Parks.

Arches National Park is located near Moab, Utah and offers many great hikes as it is home to the largest number of natural stone arches in the world. The most famous arch in the park is Delicate Arch, which can even be seen as the icon on some Utah license plates.

Visitors can also camp, bike, and rock climb at Arches. Bryce Canyon National Park is located in the Southwestern part of the Tadacip state and has many distinctive geological structures including a giant, natural amphitheater.

Other unique rock formations have been formed due to the millions of years of ice, water and wind erosion. The red, orange and white colors of the rocks also provide spectacular views for visitors.

Close to Bryce Canyon is Zion National Park, the oldest national park in the state. This park is known for its great hiking and incredible canyons.

It is the most visited park of the Utah national parks. A couple of other national parks to visit are Capitol Reef National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park.

All of these parks provide amazing views, interesting land formations and plenty of outdoor activities. If you do decide to go to Arches National Park, you may want to check out the nearest town of Moab.

Moab has restaurants, hotels and shops. It is also a great place to go river rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing and more.

If you head to Zions National Park, you should go to St. George. This city is about thirty minutes away from Zions and has year-round warm weather, excellent golf courses, and plenty of places to shop and eat.

One great attraction in St. George is Tuachan. This live, outdoor theater puts on great shows all summer long.

They also host different concerts throughout the year. For those heading to Northern Utah, you will most likely visit part of the Wasatch Front.

The Wasatch Front is a chain of cities and towns along the Wasatch mountain range. It is also the most populated area of Utah.

It includes all of the cities in between Santaquin in the south to Brigham City in the North. The largest cities along the Wasatch Front are Salt Lake City, Provo, and Ogden.

If visiting Provo, you will want to visit Brigham Young University. This private college campus is enjoyable to walk around and also has a few museums including a Science museum and an Art museum.

Provo is also home to Seven-Peaks Water Park. If you head north to Salt Lake City the most popular attractions are Temple Square, the Gateway Mall, the State Capitol, and Hogle Zoo.

A few other exciting attractions include the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum, Trolley Square, Gardner Village, The Living Planet Aquarium, The Clark Planetarium, and This is the Place State Park. For those heading to Ogden, you may want to check out the Hill Aerospace Museum, Union Station, and the Treehouse Children’s Museum.

On your way to Ogden you will drive past Lagoon Theme Park and Water Park, which is located in Farmington. Lagoon offers over 40 thrilling rides for both young and old, shows, shops and places to eat.

Inside the park you will find Lagoon-A-Beach. This water park features slides, rides, pools, waterfalls Levitra and an escape from the summer heat.

As you can see, the state of Utah has so much to offer. If you visit you are guaranteed to have a fabulous time!
