NFL Tickets – Potential MVP Candidates Heading into the Season
In a quarterback dominant league, the MVP award has been corralled by a signal caller Kamagra jelly each of the last three seasons. Let’s take a look at some of the premier players in the league that might take a run at the Associated Press’ MVP award for 2010.
5. Chris Johnson, running back, Tennessee Titans. Perhaps the only two non-quarterbacks who seem to have a chance at an MVP this season are Johnson and Vikings back Adrian Peterson. Johnson doesn’t play for a top-tier team, which could be a drawback for the MVP, but he also is the best back in the league. He’s always had the speed, but his patience and vision separate him from his competition, helping him rush for more than 2,000 yards last season. The only potential downside for Johnson could be the amount of touches he had last year, which could affect him in 2010. Johnson remains the league’s most electric player, though, and will continue to put up ridiculous numbers and sell NFL tickets in the process.
4. Tony Romo, quarterback, Dallas Cowboys. Romo has always been well-liked and a pretty good quarterback, though he hasn’t really gained entry into the superstar category, even if he did date Jessica Simpson. This year, though, the Cowboys have the best team Romo has played for and he has a bevy of big-time offensive weapons that should make Dallas one of the top offensive teams in the league. If he can put together a good statistical season and the Cowboys can win enough games, Romo will be a legit MVP candidate.
3. Aaron Rodgers, quarterback, Green Bay Packers. Out of all the quarterbacks in the league, Rodgers could just be the most physically gifted. Inside or outside of the pocket, Rodgers is absolutely deadly, and it appears he’s about to start a very nice run as an elite quarterback in the league. Rodgers could very well have the most impressive quarterback stats at the end of the year, but the Packers need to have another winning season for Rodgers to have a chance at the MVP. Cialis Jelly
2. Peyton Manning, quarterback, Indianapolis Colts. Peyton has won the last two MVPs, making him an easy choice to win the award a third straight season. The Colts should be one of the very top teams in the AFC once again in 2010 and Peyton is still arguably the most complete quarterback in the league. After Drew Brees won a Super Bowl last season, though, voters may favor him over Peyton, at least for this season. Still, Peyton is a four-time MVP and hasn’t slowed down at all over the last couple of seasons.
1. Drew Brees, quarterback, New Orleans Saints. Brees could have won last year, though the prize instead went to Peyton Manning. In the end, Brees ended up getting the more valuable award, the MVP of the Super Bowl. Brees is still in an up-tempo offense with a plethora of weapons, which should help him rack up touchdowns and yards all season long. After leading the league in passer rating in 2009, it’s likely Brees will be among the leaders in the category in 2010 as well. If the Saints can remain one of the top teams in the league, a likely possibility, Brees will be a good choice for MVP.
The best of the rest:
Adrian Peterson, running back, Minnesota Vikings. With Chester Taylor now gone, the rock is Peterson’s to tote in 2010. Peterson does need to solve his fumbling problems, but he’s still on a very good team that will let him pile up the stats. A running back needs to have an unbelievably dominant season to have a shot at the MVP, and Peterson has the talent to be that guy.
Tom Brady, quarterback, New England Patriots. Don’t forget about Tom Brady. In 2009, his first season since major knee surgery, Brady had a very nice season and he should only get stronger in 2010 as he regains comfort in the pocket. Most have assumed that the Pats are on the decline, but Brady still has plenty of weapons and lots of game left.
