Dave Matthews Band Tickets – DMB Closes Bonnaroo 2010

The fourth and final day of the 2010 edition of Manchester, Tennessee’s Bonnaroo Music Festival was on Sunday, June 13, and the Dave Matthews Band provided an epic set list to cap off the festival. Taking over the headlining spot filled by Phish last year, DMB took the What Stage at Bonnaroo for a two-and-a-half hour set. New saxophonist Jeff Coffin (longtime DMB sax man LeRoi Moore passed away in 2008), frequent DMB collaborator Tim Reynolds and an added horn section were on hand for the gig, which opened with “Don’t Drink the Water.”

Temperatures were sweltering for the ninth annual Bonnaroo Music Festival, but DMB kept it cool with a set list packed with hits like “Water,” “You Might Die Trying,” “Seven,” “Jimi Thing,” “Tripping Billies” and “I Can’t Stop.” The Bonnaroo veterans closed their set with covers of Neil Young’s “Needle and the Damage Done” and Jimi Hendrix’s “All Along the Watchtower.” Fans that weren’t able to make it to Manchester, Cialis Jelly Tenn. to see DMB headline Bonnaroo once again can still get Dave Matthews Band tickets online to see the band live this summer.

DMB kicked off its summer tour on May 28 in Hartford, Conn. and will remain on the road throughout the summer with a rotating array of opening acts in tow. Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, the Felice Brothers, Yonder Mountain String Band, Robert Earl Keen, Martin Sexton, the Zac Brown Band (who also headlined the final day of Bonnaroo this year), Amos Lee, Gov’t Mule, Brett Dennen, Raphael Saadiq, Alberta Cross, Ben Harper & Relentless7 and Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears will all open for DMB at some point in the coming months.

Bonnaroo isn’t the only festival gig DMB had lined up for this summer, as the band will also perform at HullabaLOU and the Mile High Music Festival. Held in Louisville, Ky. at the official site of the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs, HullabaLOU will feature performances by artists like Dierks Bentley, Bon Jovi, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Al Green, the Zac Brown Band and the Steve Miller Band. Dave Matthews & Co. will headline the final day of HullabaLOU on Sunday, June 25. DMB will weave another festival date into its tour on Aug. 15, when the band performs at Commerce City, Colorado’s Mile High Music Festival alongside Jack Johnson, Weezer, My Morning Jacket, Cypress Hill, Keane and more.

It just doesn’t seem like summer until the Dave Matthews Band hits the road, but fans will have to suffer through the summer months without attending a DMB concert next summer, as the band announced plans to take a touring hiatus in 2011.

Billlboard.com reports that the band announced the news via its official website on May 14, saying, “As we feel the excitement building for this summer, we wanted to let everyone know that after 20 years of consecutive touring, Dave Matthews Band will be taking 2011 off. We feel lucky that our tours are a part of so many people’s lives, and wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible. We’re excited to make this summer one of our best tours yet, and look forward to returning to the road in 2012.”
