Stevie Nicks Tickets – Veteran Rock Still out on Stage
She might have been introduced to a younger audience when she appeared alongside Taylor Swift in January for the Grammy Awards, but it wasn’t that long ago that Nicks and her group Fleetwood Mac were all the rage for teens. After heading out with the group for the first time in five years last March, Nicks Tadalis SX continues to support her DVD Live in Chicago and the concert album The Soundstage Sessions with a few added dates in August.
Nicks will visit Harvey’s in Lake Tahoe, Trump Taj Mahan Arena in Atlantic City, Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, N.Y. and Foxwoods Resort Casino/MGM in Mashantucket throughout the month. Stevie Nicks tickets are now available online.
Nicks has been in the music since she was four years old, born into a family built on basic musical principals. After performing for years in her parents’ tavern, Nicks formed her own band the Changing Times while in high school. Yet she admits the business is too different today for her to comprehend. “I miss buying an album and lying on the floor for three days and going over it with a magnifying glass,” she said to Rolling Stone in March last year. Despite such changes to the industry, Nicks still remains a chart topper, most notably with her affiliation to Fleetwood Mac.
After forming a duo with Lindsey Buckingham and releasing a debut Buckingham Nicks, the two were asked to join Fleetwood Mac in 1974. It seemed the new members had reinvigorated the veteran group, as the self-titled LP topped the charts in 1975 followed by the release of bestselling album of all time, Rumours in 1977. Nicks’ voice remained the standout for Rumours tracks like “Dreams” and “Rhiannon,” two hits the group performed during the most recent reunion tour.
Nicks has managed to stay relevant mostly through her collaborations. Not only was she partnered with Swift during the 2010 Grammy Awards but she counts Vanessa Carlton as another mentee. “I have a lot of information for all of these women [like Carlton and Michele Brand]. I should do a ‘Dear Stevie’ column in Rolling Stone. When Mariah Carey was going through all her craziness a few years ago, I wrote her a long letter telling her how everybody else is crazy – not her. I saw her recently and she told me she keeps the letter with her jewelry! I love that.”
Following the success of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, Nicks found gold on her own with the 1981 solo debut Bella Donna. The hits “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” “Leather and Lace” and “Edge of Seventeen” were all Top 20 successes. The sophomore The Wild Heart appeared with the Top Five “Stand Back,” followed by Rock a Little with “Talk to Me.” She returned to Fleetwood Mac for Tango in the Night, and released the solo album The Other Side of the Mirror in 1989. Street Angel appeared in 1994, followed by the Fleetwood Mac The Dance. In Cialis 2001 Nicks, along with Macy Gray, Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow and Natalie Maines worked on Trouble in Shangri-La.
