A Creative Date Idea For Everyone

Looking for a creative date idea? Maybe you want to impress the girl you’ve asked out or maybe you’re just sick of the same old routine. Either way, this idea is sure to shake things up. It’s simple: your date will make all of the decisions about what you’re going to do on Friday night, but he or she will actually have no idea what to expect. Is your interest piqued? Read on to learn more.

Here’s how it works: you’ll need to come up with a variety of diverse activities for your date night. A few ideas might be swimming, playing tennis, watching a basketball game, going to a karaoke bar, going to a nice restaurant, packing a picnic and going for a hike, dancing, or going to the movies. Pair each activity with an opposite activity, for example, eating at a restaurant or having a picnic. Then, in the days leading up to the date, you’ll text or email your date a few questions. His or her answers to your questions will determine which activities you choose to do.

Start by giving your date fair warning: “I’m going to email you some questions, and your answers will determine the things we do on Friday. Don’t worry about asking questions or seeking clarification; just answer them as best you can.” Then proceed to send him or her the questions. If the choice is restaurant or picnic, for example, you might text the following question: “Which do you prefer, hot or cold?” In your mind, hot would be a hot meal at a restaurant, while cold would be a packed lunch. Your question is vague enough, however, that your date won’t be able to guess what you have in mind. Hot could refer to playing outside, making a bonfire, or getting in a hot tub. Cold could be doing something in an air-conditioned room, going ice blocking, or jumping in a lake. Or maybe hot is apple cobbler and cold is ice cream. Of course, you could have asked, “Which Viagra Jelly do you prefer, high or low?” in which high is a picnic in the mountains and low is a restaurant in the valley. There’s no rule about what question to ask other than that you should keep it as indefinite as possible. “Do you prefer a restaurant or a picnic” isn’t nearly as much fun.

Whether you need a creative first date or a fun outing with your spouse, this idea is sure to be a hit.
