An Explosion of Everything Granada

Trivia aside, Granada is the capital city of the Province of Granada in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is famous for many things from its climate and architecture to its people and culture. Think of Alhambra and Albaicin, of the Sierra Nevada and modern nightclubs, and of tapas and bars and you get the point.

Granada has a more forgiving climate than the other Andalucian cities. During the day, the weather is warm with the sun shining on the streets without being oppressively hot. During the night, the air can get cold but that’s what jackets and sweaters are for, indeed.

We do caution against visiting Granada during the months of July and August as the heat outside will seem like hitting a solid brick wall during the late morning to the early evening hours. Then again, that’s what your air-conditioned hotel room is for! Just make sure to book it online before hitting the streets of Granada so as to avoid the heat.

Visitors also find that the majority of the Granadins are friendly, courteous and hospitable. You will easily be able to make fast friends who can become your city guides by showing you around the tourist attractions as well as the interesting things off the beaten track. You will delightedly discover that Granada is not just about the Alhambra – it is so much more in the hidden streets and alleys of the city.

Alhambra is the shining jewel of the city so a visit must be paid to one of the 10 wonders of the world. Constructed in a span of several centuries, the Alhambra is a massive castle with impressive gardens, palaces and fortifications. Many consider it the personification of the efforts to create heaven on earth based on the Koran and, as such, it is definitely constructed to awe even the philistines amongst us.

And then there is Albaicin located on the hill opposite the Alhambra. Despite centuries of neglect, invasions and barbaric activities, it is still an impressive sight that attracts oil painters to its cobbled streets. Visitors also have the benefit of plazas, restaurants and shops to immerse in the Granadin culture.

After walking through the historical quarters during the day, it is time to party at the many nightclubs, bars and pubs of Granada. Locals and tourists enjoy the good food, good drinks and good music that make for good times in these entertainment establishments.

And so, if you are looking for an explosion Kamagra of history, culture and entertainment, look to Granada and you are sure to find it.
