Kings of Leon Tickets – The Band Previews New Album in London

The Tennessee-based band Kings of Leon was in London, England recently at Hyde Park to deliver a four song set from their upcoming record. Although details on the album’s name are scarce, NME reported that the preview included “Immortals,” “Mary,” “Radioactive” and “Southbound.”

Drummer Nathan Followill told Billboard earlier in the year, “Any time you’re coming into a tour after a new record, especially one that’s not even out yet, it’s pretty tough to not play the whole thing.” The band managed to hold back, however, while still satisfying their most devoted followers with a small sample of what was to come. About 60,000 people attended the Hyde Park event, which also included performances from the Drums and the Black Keys. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the inclusion of four new songs as well as a cover of the Pixies’ “Where is My Mind?” Caleb Followill told the crowd, “It’s been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Thank you all very much. One of these days, when we’re all fat and bald…or balder, and we’re sitting in Tennessee telling all our kids about all the great things that happened to us, this is gonna be one of those.”

The Kings of Leon first formed in 2000 and embarked on several tours throughout Levitra Professional North America and the U.K. as they attempted to drum up support for their full-length album debut, Youth & Young Manhood. While they saw success with their single “Molly’s Chambers,” the album was met with little success in the U.K. and the boys would have to wait until their sophomore release, Aha Shake Heartbreak, to see success throughout the rest of Europe. Three songs entered the European charts and the band was inspired for their next album, slated to be titled Because of the Times.

While some bands have seen early success, ultimately finding it difficult to top the popularity of their debut, the Kings of Leon just kept getting better. Because of the Times was their biggest release at the time, debuting at the number 25 spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. It turned out that the band had even more tricks up their sleeve with the release of their next album.

Only by the Night offered the group their first number one single in the U.K. with the hit “Sex on Fire.” The album also featured the hits “Use Somebody” and “Crawl.” Likewise, the album debuted at the number four spot on the charts in America and ultimately achieved platinum status in several different countries, prompting the band to tour consistently for the next two years.

Fans are anxiously awaiting the arrival of what the Kings of Leon come up with next. In the past they have always managed to top their previous releases, but the question is – can they do it again? Judging from the turnout of the crowd at Hyde Park, this feat is certainly not out of the question.
