Lyle Lovett Tickets – Keeping up with the Natural Forces

Though it might have been “natural” causes for his split with People’s “Most Beautiful Woman,” Lyle Lovett seems to be making a strong connection with fans as he supports October’s Natural Forces. The veteran musician and ex-husband to actress Julia Roberts has been promoting his latest album since late May and will continue on a 36-city jaunt through the summer.

Promoting Lovett’s 12th studio album is Large Band, who helped to record and will perform during visits to cities like Tulsa, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, St. Louis, Rochester, Atlantic City and others. Are you a longtime fan of Lovett’s sweet country drawl? Now is the time to pick up Lyle Lovett tickets online today.

“The new album gave me a chance to record some of my favorite songs from my favorite Texas singer/songwriters,” said the award winner, who penned only five of the tracks – the rest were written by Texas stars like Townes Van Zandt and Robert Earl Keen. “I looked for songs that I’d played in the course of my career, that have always been a part of my music, that would complement the songs I’d written or co-written,” he continued during a CNN interview.

Out emerged 12 tracks that have remained staples from Lovett’s touring past, like “Bohemia,” “Pantry” and “Farmer Brown/Chicken Reel.” It’s the first time Lovett has dedicated a studio set to cover themes since 1988, a result that helped him peak at No. 8 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart.

A true country soul, Lovett started recording music in the mid ’80s and found he had a knack for storytelling. Though he’s found mainstream audiences, which has helped him sell millions of records and earned four Grammy Awards, his large cowboy hat gives him away most of the time – born in Klein, Texas, his deep southern drawl makes him distinct. Lovett appeared in Nashville at just the right time, he says during his CNN “conversation,” adding that K.D. Lang, Steve Earl and Dwight Yoakam all released their first studio set the same year Lovett premiered. “The [record label] gave me a chance to record some of my favorite songs from some of my favorite Texas singer/ songwriters, people that were a big help to me when I was first starting out,” he describes Natural Forces, recalling that he covered the songwriters he is now working with.

Still a country boy, Lovett hasn’t lost his roots. Returning to his Texas birthplace (named after his great-great grandfather), Lovett and his uncle Calvin bought back the farm they grew up on in the ’80s and still thrive there. While cialis cheap Calvin works the field, Lovett returns following months on the road. Though he admits sometimes his music is placed in the rock category, or even the pop – it’s all about just getting the music out there. With Lovett and his Large Band out on the road this summer, you can be sure to catch tons of big cowboy hats, classic rock enthusiasts and more.
