MLB Tickets – Fantasy Players to Have in the Second Half

Everyone wants to have Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton, but it’s also important to find players on the rise who may have gotten off to a slow start this season. Let’s take a look at the top fantasy players who appear to be setup for a huge second half. (Note: all stats are as of July 21.)

5. Rickie Weeks, Second Base, Milwaukee Brewers:
Weeks has been up and down for much of the season, but has really turned it out around recently. After struggling in late April and throughout May, Weeks hit over .300 in June and has carried his success into July. So far this month, Weeks already has five homers and 13 RBIs, making him one of the top producers in the National League over that time span. Weeks has always been a talented player who can carry a team offensively for stretches. It seems he might be ready to do that again in the second half of the season.

4. Ian Kinsler, Second Base, Texas Rangers:
After missing the first month of the season, Brand Cialis it took Kinsler a little while to find his power at the plate. After a mediocre month of May, however, Kinsler has increased his run production each of the last two months and is the top fantasy second baseman over the last month. In the powerful Rangers lineup, Kinsler should continue to knock in runs throughout the rest of the season and be a nice asset for your team.

3. Buster Posey, First Base, San Francisco Giants:
It didn’t take long for Posey to pile up numbers when he first got called up to the bigs at the end of May. But after a hot start, Posey went on an extreme cold streak that largely negated his great start to his big league career. July has been another matter for Posey entirely. This month, Posey is hitting a ridiculous .446 with seven homers and 20 RBIs. Not only are those the types of numbers that sell plenty of MLB tickets but they also have been instrumental in keeping the Giants within striking distance of the Padres in the N.L. West. Posey will probably have some more peaks and valleys the rest of the season, but he’s got plenty of talent and should be a big-time player for a while.

2. Mark Teixeira, First Base, New York Yankees:
Following yet another slow start, Teixeira was likely traded around many different fantasy leagues as owners waited for him to snap out of it. Well, the last month he definitely has. Since mid-June, Teixeira is among the league’s leaders in home runs and RBIs, with 10 bombs and 25 RBIs over that span. Teixeria even has his average up to a respectable .251 and that’s likely to continue to rise as he heads deeper into the season in the middle of the potent Yankees lineup. If you were able to swing a deal to get Teixeira while he was still finding his way at the plate, don’t think about trading him now.

1. Aramis Ramirez, Third Base, Chicago Cubs:
Battling injury much of the season, Ramirez got off to a horrific start this season. After seeing his average hover below .200 well into July, Ramirez caught fire before the All-Star break and has been out of this world after the mid-summer classic. In just six games since the break, Ramirez has five homers and 15 RBIs, making him the hottest hitter in the league. Ramirez has always been one of the top run producers in the league, with an average usually near .300 and an RBI total over 100. Even though there is no way Ramirez can keep up his torrid pace for too much longer, he seems to be healthy for the first time all season and it won’t be surprising to see him make a run at 100 RBIs yet again despite the atrocious start.
