Training camps are almost in session, and that means the 32 teams around the NFL are taking stock of what they have and what they need before the start of the regular season. For several teams across the league, starting quarterbacks next year will Brand Levitra be different marquee players than they have been for many years before. This is sure to provide some excitement around the league following offseason revelations, and here are some quarterback battles to watch as players compete for the starting QB jobs with their respective teams.

Denver Broncos: Kyle Orton, Brady Quinn and Tim Tebow. The Denver Broncos have a handful of quarterbacks with some talent, but still don’t have one standout starter. This will provide for some drama during training camp, even though Broncos coach Josh McDaniels already stated that Orton is his starter.

At this point, the starting battle is still between Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn. If Quinn steps it up at training camp, he could still snatch the No. 1 job from under Orton’s nose, but he ultimately needs to find his rhythm before he can be considered for the starting job.

That said, Tim Tebow is a puzzling figure in the Broncos’ offensive scheme. The rookie was perhaps the most-hyped player of the 2010 draft, and the Broncos even traded up to get him in the first round. Tebow won’t be ready to start the season as Denver’s No. 1 QB, but he has some potential once he’s a little more groomed.

Carolina Panthers: Matt Moore and Jimmy Clausen. Matt Moore became the Panthers’ No. 1 this offseason when the team did away with Jake Delhomme, but when Jimmy Clausen fell into Carolina’s lap during the 2010 draft after he fell from first-round contention, Moore’s starting position came into question. As of now, Moore is expected to start with the Panthers, but Clausen looks to be the next face of the franchise.

Jimmy Clausen is a player who will sell tons of NFL tickets this year even if he doesn’t see much time on the field. Clausen was a hot item in the 2010 draft, and he’s got a lot to prove for the Panthers. He’s working on keeping a low profile, but don’t expect the former Notre Dame standout to keep too quiet – especially if Moore misses his big shot to keep that starting position this year.

Even if Matt Moore does play some solid ball this year, the Panthers have invested in Jimmy Clausen as their first draft pick of the season and will be more inclined to trade Moore or let him go in the free agency. As of now he’s the Panthers’ starter, but anything could happen over the next several months.

Buffalo Bills: Trend Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brian Brohm. While some NFL teams already have an idea of who their starting quarterback is going into training camp, the Buffalo Bills aren’t one of them. Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brian Brohm have their work cut out for them before the regular season, and none is the guaranteed starter at this point.

Ideally, Trent Edwards will be the starter this season, though so far all three quarterbacks have had split time behind the ball during practice. Edwards, a fourth-year pro, has a 77.9 career passer rating, which is respectable to say the least, but he doesn’t fire enough risky shots to be the undisputed No. 1.

Fitzpatrick has had two solid seasons with the Bills and has the instinctive smarts that are an integral part of being a really great quarterback. His numbers have been only subpar (in 20 starts, he’s completed 58 percent of passes for 3,327 yards), however, and he needs a little more time to fully develop.

Brohm, a third-year veteran, has the least on-field action but is a malleable quarterback, and this is something that is appealing to Chan Gailey (remember what he did with Tyler Thigpen?). Brohm probably won’t take the starting position right off the bat, but he may be a hearty option in the future for the Bills.
