Teen Choice Awards Tickets – Anticipation over Awards Mounts
It looks like it will be Gleeks against Twi-Hards at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards! The second batch of nominees for the awards show, to take place Aug. 9, were announced in late June and revealed that The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Glee each scored the most nominations! There is no need for fans of the vampire drama and musical television show to square off, though, as the movie and TV show earned nominations in separate categories, so there are enough to go around!
Sure, you could watch the 2010 Teen Choice Awards from home, but why would you want to when you can get Teen Choice Awards tickets to attend the live show online?
The third and final film of the Twilight Saga franchise is up for Choice Movie: Liplock (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, duh!), Choice Movie: Chemistry (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart), Choice Movie: Male Scene Stealer (Kellan Lutz), Choice Movie: Female Scene Stealer (three nods for New Moon’s Dakota Fanning, Anna Kendrick and Ashley Greene!), Choice Movie: Fantasy, Choice Movie Actor: Fantasy (Robert Pattinson), Choice Movie Actress: Fantasy (Kristen Stewart) and Choice Movie: Villain (Rachelle Lefevre).
As for Fox’s one-hour musical comedy, Glee, the show earned nominations for Choice TV Show: Comedy, Choice TV Actor: Comedy (Cory Monteith), Choice TV Actress: Comedy (Lea Michele), Choice TV: Villain (Jane Lynch), Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer (Amber Riley), Choice TV: Male Scene Stealer (two nods for Chris Colfer and Matthew Morrison), Choice TV: Female Breakout Star (Dianna Agron), Choice TV: Male Breakout Star (two nods for Kevin McHale and Mark Salling) and Choice TV: Parental Unit (Mike O’Malley).
This year’s Teen Choice Awards will be hosted by Katy Perry, which is fitting, as the pop singer’s latest single “California Gurls” is the anthem of the summer! Perry’s infectious pop confection is nominated in the Choice Music: Single category, along with Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance,” Miley Cyrus’ “Can’t Be Tamed,” B.o.B.’s “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars and Ke$ha’s “Your Love Is My Drug.” This year’s contenders for Choice Music: Album-Pop are Here We Go Again (Demi Lovato), My World 2.0 (Justin Bieber), Animal (Ke$ha), The Fame Monster (Lady Gaga) and The E.N.D. (The Black Eyed Peas), but the show’s host is likely to be a nominee in that category next year, as her forthcoming new album Teenage Dream is expected to arrive sometime this August.
As exciting as movies, music and television are, this year’s Teen Choice Awards also has miscellaneous summer, fashion and random awards. Not surprisingly, Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dog is in the running Tadalis SX for the official song of the summer alongside B.o.B.’s “Airplanes” featuring Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro,” Ke$ha’s “You Love Is My Drug” and Perry’s ex, Travis McCoy’s “Billionaire” featuring Bruno Mars.
The Activist Award will see do-gooder celebs Eva Longoria Parker, Jessica Simpson, Justin Timberlake, Leonardo DiCaprio and Shakira facing off. As everyone knows, the Teen Choice Awards is a fan-voted awards show, and this year the show is being turned on its head with the Fanatic Fans Award. Fans of David Archuleta, Glee, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Twilight will battle to see who is the most fanatical of them all!
