Atlanta is the leading city of the south. Here are some of the fabulous events that take place throughout the year.

The Atlanta Boat Show features one of the largest displays of boats in the southeast. The Georgia World Congress Center will be filled to the gills with fishing boats, sport cruisers, bow riders, pontoon boats, house boats, personal water crafts and just about everything else you could imagine that is boating related.

The Dogwood Festival invites the world to attend the festival that produces several sub happenings including the International Juried Art Show, Old Fashioned Day in the Park with a hot air balloon race, a regatta at Lake Lanier and home tours throughout several prominent residential areas.

The Atlanta Film Festival is an annual happening that promises to be an exciting sightseeing event. Here, you can experience nine days of intense film viewing, where you can indulge in every type of cinema from the United States and around the World. From famous Directors to Independent Filmmakers, more than 150 works will showcase this ever-popular occurrence.

The Atlanta Jazz Festival is considered one of the World’s greatest Musical Celebrations. This annual event always draws a couple of 100,000 people to listen to many well known musicians.

The Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival is a good old fashioned family good time. The Atlanta Fair is recognized in the industry as one of the premier occasions that brings the same thrills, excitement and sounds form their childhood to the city of Atlanta every March.

The Fantasy in Lights at Callaway is nestled amidst wooded landscapes of Callaway Gardens. This event is the Southeast’s most spectacular holiday light and sound show with more than 8 million twinkling lights celebrating the holiday season.

The Peach Bowl is another annual happening that is a non BCS football game with the highest attended game. If you are a football fan, this is the place you want to be.

Not only does Chick-fil-A focus on football, they also use the game as a way to raise money for charities. They end up giving 3.47 million to scholarships and charities in the last six years.

The Pumpkin Festival is the place to ride the Pumpkin Express Train, compete in the Pumpkin Pie Eating Contests, enjoy fall arts and crafts, pumpkin bowling, the South’s largest talking pumpkin tree and much more. Do not miss out on this one of a kind event.

The Sweet Auburn Spring Fest attracts more than 500,000 people as the largest street festival in the Southeast. It includes a fantastic fun zone for the kids, a technology expo, an international craft marketplace, the sweet auburn film festival and much more.
