Marriage can be a hard thing to go through, relationships are hard enough and one as committed as such is that much harder in ratio. Surviving more than a year in today’s modern world is worth a pat on the back, and such the tradition of celebrating a wedding anniversary is not only justified but should be celebrated by friends and family alike. As the years have gone on certain patterns and trends have popped up in society that have lead to styles of gift giving, even to a point where landmark points in the marriage have specific classic gifts. The 10th anniversary is something celebrated by many people in a very traditional manner. Many relationships have children at this point, and surviving together for ten years would not be easy for any pair of people but the fact that a couple has made it so far is a landmark event in their lives, now it’s time to show that to each other.

There has been a modern adaptation to the classic style of gifts given on this occasion. This new trend has been with diamonds. It is only understandable that after so many years society gets to a point of wealth where the gifts can match the generic standard of living. Where at one point giving diamonds as gifts were only possible to royalty and rich a like, these days we have the ability to shower our loved ones with arguably one of the world’s most beautiful stones. However if one is more traditionally inclined and has a spouse that would appreciate something with a bit more of an authentic traditional touch, tin based gifts were the preferred gifts of the occasion. This can easily still be done, even with a more modern gift; a bouquet of daffodils with a pair of earrings has a nice rustic taste along with a modern twist to remind the spouse what day in age one lives in. Also a nice idea if ones spouse is an art lover would be to either do one personally or purchase a painting or photograph of daffodils to symbolize the decade spent together. Something from the heart is all the really matters, traditional or modern these are simple trends that have been picked up over the ages, to make the occasion special do something original and memorable, if the traditional tin gift will work the right charms go with it, or if a diamond necklace is more up the right alley all will be well received as long as they are delivered from the heart and with love. It is a day to celebrate love and togetherness above all else.
