You’ve set up your website and you have your banners and links place. You are even signed up with numerous businesses for you affiliate marketing. Well, little did you know that there were going to be pests out there destroying the work that you carefully put into place. What are these creatures and how do you get rid of them, you ask?

Parasites, when referred to in these terms are applications that can redirect, overwrite or intercept your customers or visitors – which means the commissions your supposed to receive when they click on your banner. So instead of it coming from your site and them being directed to the businesses site, they will be redirected to another person’s banner, then redirected to another business and the commission that you thought you’d be making is now gone because of it.

In order to protect your investment, you will need to fork over some dough. If you haven’t really gotten off the ground yet, this may be something that is hard for you to invest in. But think of it this way. By stopping this before it starts, you will not have to worry about losing any of your commissions due to these idiots.

Spyware which is widely used in the internet world is something that harms affiliate marketing to the point where it can bring down your commissions. It is important to keep a close eye on your numbers and know if something odd is happening. If there is something odd, it may be because someone has put some spyware on your site and is stealing your commissions. When spyware is put on a persons computer, it monitors where you are going, it tracks your sites that you see, and by doing so, it will redirect any business that should be coming to you and have it go to them. This is something that is a serious and ongoing problem.

This article is just touching the top surface of sypware and the damage it can do to your revenue. The really tough part is once your site is tapped with spyware, the only way to get rid these parasites is to get a program that will take them off. Or, you can choose to start all over again. Which is really not a hard task, but would probably be a little upsetting and time consuming again. It’s probably better to just start over because you will be able get full commissions again and not lose them to anyone else. So think long term here, and what you would rather be doing with your time and energy. Starting all over from the ground up to get rid of the parasites, or get some help with a program, and rid yourself of those nasty little worms!

While this may all seem like a really big hassle, just relax, because when you start making the BIG BUCKS, you’ll never look back.
