Pertisau Austria
You will find the village of Pertisau in the Tyrol region of Austria. This village is located on the Achensee in the Schwaz district. To add to this geographically the village can be found in the Karwendel Alpine Park which is one of the oldest, cross-border, protected parts in the Eastern Alps. You will find this glass mountain located in the centre of Pertisau.
In addition to visiting the glass mountain for “Trioler SteinÖl” you might like to visit the Pertisau parish church. This church which is quite spectacular is the work of the Austrian architect Clemens Holzemeister. From the church you may want to visit the country residence of Emperor Maximilian I of Austria. This country residence is known in Pertisau as FÜrstenhaus.

Ski lovers will love coming to Pertisau during the winter months as they can visit either the Karwendel Bergbahn ski slopes where you will find 8 easy slopes and 8 intermediate slopes or that of the Planberg Wiesenlifte slope. Here you will find there is one easy slope which is perfect for beginners. These two ski areas are also ideal walking places during the summer months.
