These days it is difficult to find Affordable Home Care for family members that need living assistance for medical or disability purposes. The decision to place anyone close to us in a living facility is a difficult, but sometimes necessary one. With so many assisted living establishments in existence, one would think it would be easy to find Affordable Home Care. However, it is very costly for one of the better facilities and most times, insurance does not cover the cost. In today’s economy especially, people are not able to afford the ridiculous premiums that some of these residences charge. On one hand, it is important to us to find excellent home care for our loved ones in a pleasing setting. However, the more sought after the place, the higher the cost. That leaves those who make an average or lower income, having to settle on Affordable Home Care, which in most cases, are less than ideal living conditions and subpar health care. This seems quite unfair, and once again, it all comes down to how much money you have. It doesn’t seem right that just because a family cannot afford the highest premiums, they have to place their loved ones in Home Care establishments that do not meet their standards of what would be an ideal place for their loved ones to stay. Everyone should have equal opportunity to first rate affordable Home Care. Their individual income should not have any bearing on the case.

We need to take care of our elderly in this country. After all, we are all going to get there someday; and when our time comes where we need living assistance, we should all have the right to the best care possible, no matter what our bank account says. Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect and be taken care of in an equal manner. The government needs to take this into consideration and create Affordable Home Care for all. Even if taxes were raised slightly and that money was used to provide for the elderly in their time of need, people should not complain because we will all benefit from it one day and it is extremely necessary. As it stands, the majority of the population cannot afford a good quality, affordable Home Care facility that they would choose if money was not an issue. Is that making the statement that only those who are wealthy are worthy of good care? There are just some things that should not be based on how much money we make. In certain situations, everyone should have a fair opportunity for quality affordable home care, whether rich or poor.

For example, if a couple is on welfare or unemployment, has no insurance, but wants to have children, they are not allowed that freedom of choice to decide whether to have a family or not, because if they cannot afford to pay the delivery and doctor fees of the pregnancy, they will have to wait until they are more financially secure to have a baby. Unfortunately, the biological clock waits for no one, so as the woman ages, her opportunity and freedom of choice begins to disappear. So that family must miss out on one of the greatest joys of life, just because they are not wealthy. This is just one example of how desperately we need to provide affordable home care to our less fortunate citizens. It is just the right thing to do.
