Klagenfurt Austria

The city of Klagenfurt is the capital city of Federal State of Carinthia in Austria. This city is known to be the bishop’s seat of the Roman Catholic diocese of Gurk- Klagenfurt. Here you will also find the Alepn-Adria University. You may also hear Klagenfurt being referred to as the Rose of the Lake WÖrthersee. From this fantastic park you may next want to journey to Lindworm statue. You can see this statue near the centre of Klagenfurt’s major square the Neuer Platz. The statue was built in the 16th century to commemorate the legend of the lindworm who lived in the area and caused immense flooding until it was killed by some young men of the area. The statue allows visitors to visit this interesting inhabitant of yesteryear Klagenfurt.
