All skull designs do not have to be demonic. They can be drawn with smoother edges and less scary features and are very popular with women in this form. These tattoos are normally executed in feminine colors such as pink or mauve. They may also have bows and hearts incorporated into them and not just empty sockets. Sometimes a couple may come in for matching tattoos and the women use these artistic devices to make their tattoos feminine and not scary at all. Designs for women tend to use skulls less prominently.
