Wasaga Beach Real Estate Continue to Increase in Value
Wasaga Beach has forever been the chosen destination for neighboring Toronto residents owing to the fact that it lays claim to having longest fresh water beach in the world, but it did not officially become a town until January of 1974. But, the amount of permanent residents has risen steadily — from 12,419 in 2001 to 15,029 in 2006, when the most recent census was undertaken.
As the numbers continue to rise, Wasaga Beach has earned a standing as one of the quickest growing communities in the country. Since 2009, there has been a dramatic increase in both the amount of transactions and the amount of Wasaga Beach real estate sold, indicating a healthy combination of new residential property as well as cottages and weekend properties springing up all along the popular beach front.
