No matter what you might think the Atlanta Falcons are not as dead of a team as you might think that they are. The team is actually in a decent amount of shape. This is due to the fact that the team is looking to make a run for the post season this year. While many may ask how this can be, it is simple.

Take a look at the team from last year; they were in second place behind the Saints. This alone is enough to make them a viable candidate for the post season right out of the gate to begin with. There are those that still are hanging on to the fact that the team is the same as when Michael Vick was running around. The teams are beyond that and have moved on.

This past draft was not especially as good as the team had hoped that it would be. There was a long wish list that the team had in regards to getting the most out of the draft, this list was a short one that they had hoped that they would be able to. But with them being number 19 in the draft order, they were unable to make a successful bid for any of the players that they had hoped to get.

There is a lot that they can be said about the passing offense of the Falcons, most of this is good things that will show that the team is in a position to make an impressive attempt at being one of the teams to watch in 2010.

Running will be another area that will need to be watched real closely as the Falcons will have a lot that they can show in the way of making a running game that will have the defense standing around wondering what happened.

The Falcons schedule is one of the tougher that they will have to make sure that they take a serious look at. The strength of the schedule is one that will make the team work harder for the wins that they are able to get out of the season. The team will as a result have a lot to prove in the division this season.

There are great things that are expected to come to the Atlanta Falcons this season, if things continue to head the way that they are now, there are a lot of people that see this as being the best year that the team has had in a long time.

While the other side of things still are looking at this to be a less than desirable year for the team from Atlanta. The more that they fight, the more strength that they will have in the over all of the season. Love them or hate them the Atlanta Falcons are looking to be here for a long time and are getting ready to lay claim to their destiny when it comes to the Super Bowl.
