Many women all over the world are still being deprived their basic rights and freedoms. There has been a general failure to rectify the plight of women’s issues on a global scale, the improvement of these types of issues is vital to the world’s welfare and future progress.

The nations that have been least developed, such as Afghanistan, have failed to reduce discrimination against women and have showed little concern for women’s rights. Developed countries such as the Norway, Sweden and U.S., have strengthened and supported women. Over the past 30 years the U.S. has been able to develop programs that empower women; then again the results reflect merely a minor improvement. Gender issues haven’t been adequately represented and ought to be on the fore front of society’s goals.

Many women still feel as though they are considered to be lower class citizens in comparison to their male counterparts in the majority of social elements. Women continue to be regarded as less serious rivals in the political arena. The basic attitude still reflects the idea that politics need to be left to men, as the stronger leaders. This discrimination is reflected in the government’s personnel ratios, where men are still the vast majority. Economically women are still behind men in terms of wages as well as in regard to ownership of prosperous organizations, which are mainly owned by males. Recent studies show that females have lower income earnings in comparison to males for the exact same career or service delivered.

This change needs to be started by women for women. Women must invest time and care into the issues affecting women all over the world by improving policies and acts surrounding women’s rights.
