Push – Ups

We all know that this is probably one of the oldest exercises known to man, not to mention that it is something that is known to work as well. Now, how to do this:

You have to lie down with your face facing the floor or mat, with your palms on the floor. They must be placed in a way that they are wider than the width of your shoulders apart. Not forgetting that your toes must be curled on the floor. You must keep your legs and back straight at all times. Now, you have to take a deep breath and exhale as you slowly push your body away from the floor. And inhale while you bring your body back down to the floor. You can do this until your muscles are strained enough, for about 15 to 20 repetitions.

Squat – This is indeed another old known type of exercise and yet one that is proven to work. To do this:

Get yourself a pair of dumbbells. Now, stand with your feet about shoulder width away from each other, while holding your dumbbells at your sides. Maintain a natural arc with your back while you hold your head straight. Now, you have to inhale while you slowly bend your knees and your hips to a sitting position without feeling discomfort or pain. You have to allow your arms to be able to swing forward and backward for proper balance. Your behind must not go down below the level of your knees, not to mention that your knees must not extend beyond your toes. You have to slowly exhale while you arise to a standing position. Keeping your knees and hips straight and allowing your arms to go back to your sides. You can do this for 12 to 20 repetitions.

Leg Raise – This is another sure fire exercise that works. NO machine needed or anything. Just you and your legs. To do this:

Lay down on a mat or a carpet, with your legs straight and with your hands under your buttocks. Now, with your head off of the floor for about a couple of inches, you have to exhale and then slowly bring your knees to your chest. If you feel that it is necessary then you support your neck and head with a towel. You also have to inhale as you straighten up your legs, keeping your back pressed tightly on the floor. Then go back to your starting position. You can do this until your muscle starts to show sigh of fatigue. Do this for about 20 to 30 repetitions.
