Professional Organizations has been conducting annual conventions for the past century already. Being a member of an organization, we have always been forward to it yearly. Traditionally, the election of officers is held on this big event, scientific seminars, wet clinics, trade fair, Fellowship Night, raffle and many more, aside from always looking forward to getting the seminar kit and the give-aways. This has been a natural occurrence in the Annual Convention. All expected events especially that it happens just once a year.

There could be a lot more activities injected to it, especially that it usually is a four-day-event. A lot more can be added for more fun and enjoyable fellowship with other people. I am thinking of paintballing, as one great and fun way of spending a day out of the busy practice of our profession. Since it is always held in a venue where the paintball arena is right across the street or sometimes in an area where it is conducive to play paintball. Paintball arena owners can offer free trial games or maybe and hopefully our convention organizers will include paintball games as part of the conventions’ activities and even as ice breakers or socialization activity. I honestly think that a game like this can really keep us, participants, grounded. We have to really socialize with other participants of the seminar or convention and different kinds of people and not just socializing in the confines of our own workplace. Paintball can really calm our busy minds. It will also help you exercise your body before or after sitting down for a long time listening to speeches where some are so boring. Organizers can pit one group against another, the formation of the groups is preferably through random selection so that participants will have a good chance of knowing their fellow participants by strategizing and planning their attack together. Playing paintball as part of the conventions’ activities will be something new to look forward to, to add up to the excitement of waiting for the next annual convention.

It is always exciting to look forward to something new. People who are busy with their work, also are still after fun and excitement, trying to look for ways and means to relax from their busy schedule, one way to get out of it all is to attend conventions or seminar that is why there is a need for activities that will not only enhance the mind but also enhance the body which after such activity participants will feel reinvigorated and ready for the next sets of activities for the following day. We have to remember that most people still have this youthful minds still enjoying child’s play. Everyone still has a child inside them and to relive their childhood days playing cowboys and Indians or cops and robbers through paintball is a creative way of connecting participants with each other, where organizers can easily break the ice among participants. Truly, paintball is a game that can bring together people from all walks of life or culture in a friendly competition.
