The Pathway to Your MLM Success

Many people try their luck with network marketing opportunities but only a small minority succeeds in MLM. That is a disturbing fact but easy to understand if you look closely to the reasons that cause it. The multilevel marketing industry is structured that way that makes it too easy for someone to participate and lacks a procedure to root out those that are not genuinely interested and not fit to succeed. Unfortunately that is something that it will continue in the future because if we change the way the business operates and try to restrict the easy access to everyone who wants to join, we would destroy the ideals on which the MLM industry is based.

Ideals of equality and giving to everyone the chance to try to succeed or fail. But that doesn’t mean that you also have increased chances to fail because statistics say the average member of an MLM opportunity fails. That is because you are not an average member unless you let yourself to become one. But let’s see first what an average member is and does, so you know how to not become or act like one.

First of all the average member is someone who doesn’t take seriously the whole concept of work and building your own business. He believes more in luck and believes that a network marketing opportunity is some kind of investment that he is required to put some money in and then with no effort and at some point will end up with passive income from the company. Of course many MLM companies and sponsors are also responsible for such beliefs, not because they lie to prospects, but because they don’t tell the whole truth in order to get their fees and commissions. Some times there is also marketing exaggeration when they advertise an opportunity. Unfortunately, although that this works against the multilevel marketing industry and its participants in the long term, some are willing to sacrifice that in the alter of short term profits and easy money.

Second, the average MLM member never invests his time in training. They prefer the road of doing easy things that require very little learning, but unfortunately seldom work as they are outdated and almost everybody does them. That holds more true in online network marketing as you can always see new distributors practicing advertising and marketing methods that may have worked well a decade ago but unfortunately no longer bear fruits.

Third, they lack the necessary patience that is required for someone who wants to succeed. Many people involved in multilevel marketing do the right things for a period of time but they don’t have the patience to continue for the needed time. People usually want to see results within their first months and if the money don’t start coming by then they tend to quit. However, it may take from 6 months up to 2 years, depending on how much you work your MLM home business, to break even and start making your first small profit. After that first point things get much more easier as you get motivated by the even small profits to work harder and smarter with more confidence and belief in yourself. But if you don’t have the patience to stick with network marketing you would never reach that point.

As you can see you need three things so you can succeed.

First, to take seriously what you are doing and be willing to work and devote a lot of your free time to your MLM business. If you are looking for hands free passive income with no amount of work required from the beginning, or if you believe that your upline would do all the work for you then clearly network marketing is not for you. Even if someone is telling you so he is probably lying.

Second, you need to invest time and money on your training. Sales, advertising, and marketing have evolved during the years and although the basics still hold true, new knowledge and techniques are needed for someone in order to get results. Especially if you intent to work online, knowledge is the basic factor that can determine your success. On the other hand if you dislike learning new things, even if that means earning a lot of money in the future, your chances to make it in this industry are dim.

Third, patience is a vital component of your MLM success as without it you tent to quit too soon and never realize the real potential of your multilevel marketing opportunity and yourself. You’ve got to stick with your business during the hardships of the beginning and give it the time to evolve and grow. If you are not willing to wait long enough, you can save yourself from the waste of money and time by not joining a network marketing opportunity.

As you can see three things are vital to your pathway to success, taking seriously your business, investing time and money on your training, and patience. If you lack even one of them then failure is most probable, but if you have them and you take your chances with multilevel marketing then success is somewhere in the future waiting for you.
