My Experience at Serendipity Cafe in Seattle, WA

It had been a while since I visited the award-winning European-style cafe in the heart of the Magnolia Village, Seattle WA but I had been hearing great reviews from my friends in the affluent Seattle neighborhood. My friend Chris visits Serendipity with his daughter from time to time. She like it there because they have freshly made baked goods including fresh croissants, scones, cookies and much more. Her review of the tasty snacks is always good.

Since I recently moved to Queen Anne from downtown Seattle, I have been able to go to Serendipity more frequently. I go there a few times a week for coffee and for lunch at least once weekly. I hear the very special breakfast mac n’ cheese with bacon, fire roasted tomatoes and spinach topped with two eggs over easy gets killer reviews, but I can’t seem to pull myself away from the open-faced tuna melt with shoestring fries. What’s great is that it’s not a lot of bread so there’s great flavor that isn’t super filling.

I first visited Serendipity Cafe right after I moved out of Magnolia in the week of their grand opening. The place was packed with Magnolia residents as well as folks from Queen Anne, Ballard and other close-by Seattle neighborhoods. The reviews were in. The food was great. The service was friendly. The coffee from Seattle WA based Caffe Vita brought no complaints. Top that with Mighty-O donuts, Zatz Bagels, and Bottega Italiana Gelato… It’s just what Magnolia needed.

One thing to note is Serendipity Cafe is operated by two Magnolia Moms that felt there needed to be a cafe where parents could take their kids and everyone could have a good time. With that in mind they created a special place where families and friends from all over Seattle dine in a relaxed Magnolia atmosphere. Moms and dads alike wanted a kid friendly place to relax and the reviews agree Serendipity is a favorite and it’s not just for people from Magnolia. Not only do parents love the Cafe, but kids give the play area high ratings!

I couldn’t agree with the reviews more! I brought my daughter in one day and while she played in the indoor playground of Serendipity, I was able to take advantage the free Wi-Fi throughout the cafe, which also gets good reviews from users. She loved the books and other toys in the play area. When some other Magnolia children showed up, she had even more fun. Having lived in downtown Seattle where parking is never free during the day I also appreciate the two hours of free parking in Magnolia Village.

I’ve seen that Serendipity Cafe has reviews on Yelp, City Search, Urban Spoon and other online review and rating sites. I have no complaints about those review sites. I just wanted to share my thoughts about a cute little cafe called Serendipity in Seattle WA. While Yelp, City Search, and Urban Spoon can be a good source for reviews and rating, it’s important to see what people that don’t take the time to go to the review, rating and testimonial sites have to say. There is a stack of written testimonials and reviews on file for anyone to read. Just ask to see them next time you visit Serendipity Cafe, which is located in the heart of Magnolia Village in Seattle, WA.
