A resume only give a brief summary of what a person did or is doing and that is why a profile is so important. The profile allows more space for things like gaps in employment history, volunteer work and school records. These are all things that make up an entire picture of a person, not only their employment past.

A cover letter is another item that is necessary on many of these websites in order to attract the right kind of employer. A cover letter is specific to what type of position a candidate is looking for. For example if an individual is looking for work as a pharmacist, they would state this in their cover letter and what experience they have had in this field. Not merely the employment places they have worked but the actual work they have done, especially in this type of field.

Make sure to answer all the questions or fill out all the data fields and if a person is applying for a position in a pharmacy, make sure they have experience in that field and not something unrelated.
