Installing a flat that is thick and warm will keep the dog from being exposed to the low temperatures of the snow outside. If the conditions become too bad, it might be best that you keep your dog inside the house even just for the winter months.

Maintaining your dog’s kennel is also very important all year long. Always keep the house and the area surrounding it clean and sanitized. If you fail to do so, you will risk having a dog that smells really bad or finding that your pet would rather stay in the yard than in the cedar dog house.
