More than 90 percent of jobs in Russia is meant and demand males only. In this situation it becomes complex for a single Russian woman to prove herself for a job. There are fewer career opportunities for women in Russia. Furthermore, if women manage to get a job also they are paid too low as compared to men. It does not correspond to a good living standard. All these facts are really discouraging for single Russian women to pursue and aim for a better professional life.

Russian women also face discrimination even if they manage to reach a high position in any job. They are never treated in equality with men. People generally prove themselves when they reach a good position and then they continue good work. But when it concerns women in Russia life is not that easy. A career oriented Russian woman has to prove herself every day at her job even after attaining a remarkable position.

One more myth associated with single Russian women is that they are shy and reserved by nature which is the main reason for their being dependant and not likely to work. It is a common assumption that Russian women love to be housewives. And husbands therefore need to feed them for the rest of their lives. This is of course not true about them. In general, Russian women are hard and dedicated workers, no matter whether they work for their family at home or for any other job. They love to work and they work sincerely. Some women though are fascinated with the idea of being a housewife, but they also can work and be a helping hand when needed by their family.

In conclusion it should be mentioned that the other factor which becomes a barrier in Russian women’s career is the language. Most of them know only Russian and no other language, which makes it difficult for them to work at any foreign place. This problem is mainly faced by women who aspire to marry a western man and are career oriented also. But this is just a barrier for them. Once they adjust to new lifestyle Russian women can pick up any language fast.
